Counseling4Kids first annual “my heART, an artist showcase for foster children,” was held on October 1, 2011. This one night only art show and fundraiser took place in the downtown Los Angeles art district in the Cotrutza Gallery.  All of the artists in the show are clients of Counseling4Kids who are receiving therapy due to a trauma they have experienced in their lives. Through this showcase Counseling4Kids establishes an opportunity for our clients to show off their talents by submitting artwork for a to be celebrated.  Children are then able to attend the “my heART” artist showcase in the families with their families and see their creative works displayed in a local art gallery.
